Pong and pong-like games

Games mentioned in this post:
2d (original) pong
3d pong
curveball
kick-ups
One day, a smart TV engineer by the name of Ralph Baer modified a television design to fit a ball and paddles inside. Hence, pong was born...
And back in the day, it was the best game around. In fact, it was the first electronic game. Ever...
Some salespeople got together and marketed pong as a tennis simulator. Some other guys marketed it as a football simulator...
But really, it's just two paddles and a ball. It's silly. It's simple. It's stupid.
2d pong
3/5 stars. Flash game looking just like the classic from 1966. Neat for history buffs. Boring for everyone else.
3d pong
4/5 stars. 1950s pong in 3 dimesions. This is the most addicting game you'll ever play. Of an estimated 300 new players a day, 200 of them become lifelong players dedicating roughly 5hours/week to the game. Note: I just estimated that now, without any data.
Curveball
4/5 stars. 3d pong on drugs. Don't do drugs.
Kick-ups
4/5 stars. Another addicting game. Click the soccer ball to keep it off the ground, and post your scores. Kind of like pong for some reason. Actually, not really. But who cares.
Build your own pong machine
Complete DIY (do-it-yourself) guide to building a pong machine. Written with weird words like "circuit diagram" and "I/O pin." I think it's in english though. Neat pictures.
Aliens invented pong.
